Looking for comments

Too light? More saturation in the blacks? Anything else?

Some different treatments of the same image. Preference? General comments.

I prefer the B&W. I think it would look better with some darker blacks. Not necessarily in the background, I like the small amount of detail in the sky, but the diner/tree trunks/parking lot seem to lack contrast and have no hard blacks. Some of that may be the from the posting process and may look better on your computer.

It's how you want it to look that's important. But if I took it, I work with the color because you lose the neon interest in BW.

I believe I would mask out the neon and put that on a separate layer on top so I can have it bright and a bit over-saturated. Then I process the rest of the image under with more contrast and bring all the saturation down lower, maybe see if changing the color to be more bluish works. Making that layer mask will require a 3rd copy of the image desaturated to BW and crank the contrast and black level up to make all but the neon disappear.

Myself i would just colour pick the neon onto the b&w with a little more black depth.

No problem. This issue I'm having processing it is even at only 800 ISO the highlights in the red sign are blown causing the tube to be yellow. Short of painting the tube with color nothing works. Here is another try.

Still missed on the diner. I give a couple days and try again.

All look interesting so just try messing with various colour filters till you get the look you want.
