Does anyone know of a good light meter app for the iPhone? Wondering if its something handy to have to help with shooting manual...

I have light meter, not the above mentioned one. I just downloaded the pro, looks pretty good, just need to do some testing

That's the one I have. The pro above I downloaded and it seems to work on my iPad but not my iPhone 5, go figure, lost a dollar.

The pocket light meter does work, just don't know about accuracy

Manual mode itself has a great light meter, you just have to know what to adjust which way to get the golden middle for what you're shooting. And there, it all depends on what you shoot as to what you'd adjust to compensate for under or over exposing.

I suppose something like this might work in a pinch, but, call me a purist, I don't think I would ever trust any exposure measurement to a cell phone, much less one in a situation where you have a wide range of EV's.

I just used it to help light a TV studio. Just used it to get the proper ratio from person to person on the set. Did not use it for camera settings. Cameras work pretty good for that. But might be nice to see how fill reflector was doing. get a two or three to one ration of key to fill. sometimes my eye is not that good anymore.

We do have digital, with LCD and instant playback guys... shoot a few tests, then you know for sure what to expect at a given location.
