I'm realizing that I can't, nor do I need to haul extra lenses around that aren't going to be used for the task at hand. So, the lenses that stay at home....how do you store them?

I don't like carrying everything everywhere either but I shoot every day, and my camera is with me pretty much all the time, so I what I do is stuff everything in my big bag and the big bag stays in the trunk of my car. My 70-200mm covers probably 90% of my shooting but If I need to tote extra stuff with me, I have smaller bags that will accommodate a couple extra lenses, a strobe, what have you.

I have them on the shelf next to my guitar picks. Lately I've just been using mainly 2 lenses. The 24-120 and the 70-300.
The rest stay home. If I need a wider than 24mm shot, I just pano it now.

Do you ever grab the wrong bag?:)

There by hangs a tale as they say, grabbed the wrong bag the other day and it wasn't fastened,i knew what was happening so went down towards the floor with the bag as it came open, luckily it was more of a roll out of the bag for a couple of lenses.
