I currently own a Nikon D3100 and looking to buy a nikon D7100. The lenses I own are Nikon 18-55mm and 55-300mm, also Sigma 50mm 1.4 and Sigma 10-20mm wide angle len and a Tamron 90mm macro. I was wondering if these would fit on the 7100. Thanks in advance

That's one good thing about Nikon, is the interchangeable lenses from one model to another (almost)

Congratulations on a good start of your DX lenses. Before I'd go much farther and buy more DX lenses, I'd decide if you want to stay with DX in the future or go FF, which would require new glass. The FF glass will work on a DX body, but not vice versa.

One thing you will e able to do with the D7100 is to fine tune all your present lenses. Be sure to check that out when you get your D7100. Someone here can help you out with that.

Just wondering if anyone has the same problem of not being able to open raw files on Photoshop CS6.[/QUOTE]
never had a problem with it on my cameras. Make sure you update to the latest version of Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop

Thank you for your help. I did an update earlier and still had the same message come up. However, I just went back through the help>updates in Photoshop again and did another update and now it works. I have no idea what the difference was, except the outcome.

LOL. Computer updates can be tricky and I am quite sure there are little quark demons running through the Internet cables around the world.

Congratulations on the D7100. I have been taking pictures for 50 years, and the D7100 is the best match I have found for my needs and wants. I hope you enjoy your camera as much as I do mine.

congrats on the new camera! A word of warning concerning lens compatibility. NIKON brand lenses of course are not a problem, you need to be a little careful with third party lenses on the D7100, especially SIGMA. there are lots of reports on the net of people having compatibility issues. I for one have had problems with the new 18-200 from the contempory line, I know also that the 17-70 and 17-50 are also effected.
