Lens suggestion!

Hello! I am a newbie here. So I have D5300 with 18-55mm. I recently sold the kit lens as it is limiting my zoom reach. What lens should I buy;
Nikkor 18-105mm (2nd hand -$130) + Nikkor 35mm (new -$200) or
Nikkor 18-140mm (2nd hand -$320) or
third party lens like Sigma/ Tamron 18-200mm + Nikkor 35mm ?
L am looking for a good walk-around lens. Mostly taking family group photos, traveling photos, portrait and landscapes. Thanks in advance 😊

I was happy with the 18-105. Its a great walking around lens. Then I picked up an 18-140 a few months back. There were a bunch of refurbs on the market for $240 and I could not stop myself. Also a great lens. If you are in the states, Cameta has the 18-140 refurb for $265. They are not so plentiful right now. A refurb 35mm, about $170.

Welcome to the website,

my 18-105mm lens is on my camera 95% of the time, excellent lens,
I was going to get the 18-140mm but it was just out of price range at the time.

I have been shooting with the 18-140mm that came with my D7100. I love the versatility of this lens. That being said, I just ordered a AF-S 50mm f/1.4G lens for crowd, people, car shows and portrait shots.

I only have the 35mm DX and love it! Its perfect for landscapes and portraits. Its sharp, clear, and fast. Mind it is fixed and so if you're used to zoom lenses you may find it frustrating at times because you need to move around to get the shot.
