I'd hate to have your commute, but love the area. My brother lives in Lemon Grove.
If I recall correctly I shot this from Chicano Park in Barrio Logan. Eeeeeeverybody goes to Tidelands Park in Coronado to shoot the bridge and I had to have something different to turn in. The shot was taken for a photography class I taking at the time and why I didn't take this shot with my Tokina 11-16mm I'll never know... Oh wait, yes I do. It was taken a year and a half ago before I even had my Tok'. Guess I need to go back and re-shoot it.I love La Jolla and San Diego in general. So rich for photography! My family and I have commuted down there 5 times (San Diego 4x La Jolla 1x) in the past 3 months! I really want to get a good picture of the Coronado Bridge at night.

The Tokina would have definitely taken in more of the scene (while the EXIF doesn't show here, it does on my Flikr page and the shot was taken at 21mm with my then trusty D5100) but there may be aesthetic reasons I cropped it like you see here that I'm not recalling now. I don't specifically recall the exact shooting conditions except that I was on the end of a concrete pier after 11PM in Barrio Logan. If you're not familiar with the area let's just say it's a uh... Well it's a "less-than-upscale" *cough* sort of neighborhood. I'm willing to go to great lengths to get the shot I want, but I didn't feel the need to push my luck, either...That's a beautiful shot... Would your Tok be able to get more of the bridge in the picture?
