Day 27. Well this was a failure, I am determined to find something interesting in this gymnasium to take pictures of. Had a few items but they found their way to the trash bin and I because I needed a picture this is what I ended up with. Gymnasium window with a reflection of the ceiling light.

Actually, I really like it. I just found myself just looking at it for a minute or so.
Its so very simple, yet there is a lot to look at.

Day 28, decided to convert to BW because the color shot wasn't working for. The first one is natural light and the second is flash, bounced off the ceiling.

Day 29. This is what happens when you forget to turn off your sprinkler system and the weather goes from 70 down to 18. It wasn't my system, but noticed on the drive to taking the kids to school this morning.

I really need to get into the Silver efex and learn it. Could you throw up the original. I would love to see where you started.

Here you go, this isn't SOC, I did adjust a few little settings first and then decide to go to BW.
Exposuer - 95
Shadows +13
Saturation +7
Vibrance +12
Black Clipping -36
White Clipping -6
Clarity +17

Wish there was another way to get this from Lightroom, but I couldn't figure it out.

At this point I extracted to Nik

And it was cropped from original size due to background

It's a "nice" photo in color, but spectacular in black and white. Thanks for sharing and good choice.

If you only knew how many times i have shot this with varying light and it never worked either way. This time it was late afternoon and just a quick shot because I didn't have much else for the day. I liked the color version but Sparky sparked my interest in seeing if I could really improve it in BW, which pushed me to push the processing even more than I would. So actually I guess I should thank Sparky for posting his when he was talking about GIMP. I am sure this could be improved more, but leaving alone as I like in BW.

Thanks for the compliment, helps with the confidence.

Day 30, trying my hand at product type shoot. I want to say a Big Thank You to Moab Man for his tips on doing this. It cut the trial and error in half. I need to get a better backdrop but this was all I had. I had a box propping up the the background and brought the radio closer to me to improve the background like he told me. This was fun so I will posting more when I get better backdrop material.

You're welcome. One of the major things I like about this forum is that members share experience and knowledge without hesitation.

Now that you're in the ballpark it will come really easy.

I know, I have learned so much from everyone on here. It was fun setting up, checking and rechecking, even had to iron the sheet and use a lint roller. My wife didn't know that I knew how to iron.

Thanks again
