Nice! Mourning doves are one of my favorite birds. I had one that came back every year to nest on my bedroom air conditioner. Unfortunately when the AC was replaced, it was a much larger unit which didn't leave enough clearance underneath the awning for the dove to build a new nest. Supposedly mourning doves mate for life. Glad to hear yours comes back each year!

thank you, I was a little nervous a few years back because we had to remove a tree they nested in. But they just moved to the backyard. They get on of the chimney and start calling and it echoes down into the house. I wait all winter to hear that sound, to me it's the sound of spring.
