Kindle Fire anyone?

I bought my mom a Kindle Fire last Christmas and a couple weeks later bought my wife the Nexus 7. I really don't like the Kindle Fire at all. It is not intuitive. Getting anything done with it takes forever. On the other hand the Nexus 7 is pretty easy to use. I guess it really depends on what you want it to do. I think the real difference is the Kindle started out as a reader that they tried to make more and the Nexus started as a tablet that you can get a App to act as a reader.

I support Don's oppinion.
If you are looking for an ebook reader that has some (but limited) other use, the Kindle is perfect. I've got one just for that purpose. But it ain't comparable to an iPad or similar device.
I have to add that my experience is limited to the Kindle Fire, I do not know how a Kindle HDX will perform compared to tablets.
And I also have to say that for an ebook-reader, the Fire works very well for me.
