WONDERFUL. Thanks for taking the time to get this picture. I can't say why, but it moves me.
I actually had to back track a mile, (big truck was far too close behind me to stop), then park and walk up the road a half mile to get this, so it is nice to know people like it! I have made it my desktop/screen saver because i love the feel of it.

Love #418, the cats eyes. Forgive me asking, but did you "photoshop" out any reflective fur? I'm interested in hearing your technique.

Thanks

Yes, i did photoshop out a very small amount of reflective fur, but it was minimal. The cat is so black, and the room was quite dark.

I went to visit a friend of mine on Vancouver Island, had a great time! We went to Long Beach in Ucuelet,

and to the caves at Horn Lake, just outside of Parksville.

I took 400+ photos, lol, and narrowed it down to these.

Avalanche chute, not a great photo, but I wasn't supposed to stop on this section of the highway, so I took the photo quickly. the power of Nature is awesome.

#427 & #430 very nice 'micro' shots - classic narrow dof and crisp, too. #429 looks more like a bomb site! Or maybe a lumber yard. Shame. but in contrast to the others mentioned, I like the great dof achieved.

#429 was kind of a lumber yard, and not a great shot, but I just wanted to share the devastation that nature is capable of, this avalanche happened this past winter in the Revelstoke pass, and closed the highway for a number of days. Thanks for the dof compliments. I do enjoy the effect it gives, and am practising the technique.

Normally I would not post this, lol, but it was the only pic for the day. I really need to get out for some wildlife shots!

#432 i think the idea of this is pretty good - the symmetry of the golf carts is quite amazing - the guys must have spent hours aligning them all! lol
I'm not sure that you quite got the dof correct here...

...you've been busy tonight! thank you. I've enjoyed your postings over the past hour :)

Thanks! I have been in a bit of a posting slump the last few days, probably because I haven't had a chance to get out to the bush for my favourite wildlife shots. :) As far as the golf carts go, I took a few, but liked this one the best, the focus in the others kind of didn't sit right. The young cart attendants really did a great job of lining them up!
