And it just arrived and I waited patiently for family stuff and connected it to my D7100 body but IT DOESN'T FIT EFFING NIKON LENSES! I shall return it after Christmas and order a http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kenko-1-4X-...igital/dp/B002C6QE00/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top. Would someone kindly conrfirm that this work with my Nikon body AND lenses? The reviews would indicate "Yes".

Bah humbug!

Thats a real bummer Jonathan, I thought I had read somewhere that the Sigma was compatible with Nikon gear.
I can confirm that the Kenko 1.4 pro 300 works with my Nikon lenses, I am not overly joyed with the performance I have seen from mine so far, but some improvement in my technique might see some improvements in the picture quality that I want.

Thanks Brad. I detect that you might have preferred a Nikon TC. I am concerned that I'll drop some cash on something that doesn't deliver what I want. The older I get the more I realise that often situations like this are a false compromise and I end up spending top whack anyway on top of the original cheaper option.

Hope your Christmas developed (see what I did there?) for you.

Update: having now checked Nikon's own compatibility chart 'twould seem I can get a 1.4 or 1.7 TC for my D7100 body but it won't be compatible with my 18-300mm zoom, my 40mm micro OR my 85mm micro. FFS! I think I need to go visit my local camera shop (only a five minute drive away).

Yes the Nikon TC's are restricted with which lenses they will work with, which is the main reason I went with the Kenko, its not fussy who it hooks up with.

I did quite a bit of research and saw plenty of sample images taken using the Kenko 1.4.
Not sure if I am expecting too much out of it, or I haven't spent the time to make it work properly, but I am still waiting to feel the love from that thing.
