Just made a sale

Around £17,476, but I'll round it up to £25,000 for mathematical ease. Under my tutelage you should recoup that in at least 13.6 years.

Now I'm off to throttle Noddy bloody Holder!

This is what it should look like framed up.

I'd go for a lighter frame so as to get drawn into the picture more, and perhaps a double mount to get the bezel. What size is the print? It doesn't seem big enough for the subject.
This is what they ordered, its only a medium sized print. They could have went larger but didn't. All personal preference.

Cheers everyone, I am still surprised it sold. I was such a simple photo to take and last minute.

Beautiful photo, Scott! :) I could only laugh at the irony--just a week or so ago you mentioned lacking motivation because you were spending so much time focusing on the technical aspects of photography. Then suddenly this photo op emerges, and look how gorgeous it turns out. That 'such a simple photo to take and last minute' comes from all those long hours of being so technical--suddenly everything just fell into place! Awesome capture, and congrats on selling it! ;)

I am thinking if I am to take this seriously then I may need to do what a friend is doing and framing her own prints, she has a person in Melbourne that prints them on archive quality paper and they are pretty cheap. But I guess the thing is do I want to take that next step and start creating more than just a photo?

These UK-based ones appear great but I've only used them twice (first time - see picture above) I ordered printing, mounting and framing on the Sunday evening and the finished product arrived on the Wednesday! they service international clients.

Picture Frames | Multi Photo Frames | Print and Frame | Canvas Printing

And I just checked with them: the order I placed last night will be with me tomorrow! They are alos prepared to work with me to deliver more Victorian/Gothic frames (I live in a house built in the 1870s).

I am not in the slightest bit affiliated to them.

Congrats on the sale! It's a great feeling when people buy your work. Did it sell through a website? I make much more profit selling directly.

They actually saw it through facebook and brought it through my website which automatically says that I have such and such for sale. In saying that she is a dear friend and has been for years. But I am still honoured and privileged to have people like my work enough to buy it.
