Jellyfish

Well the jellyfish was swimming Mike, but I wasn't underwater.

So you took this through glass? How did you avoid the reflections?

So was this taken at an aquarium?

Nice photo with incredible detail; however, I'm squeamish when it comes to a lot of bugs and slimy things! ::what:: You did a fantastic job with the...uh...icky thing! ;)

Ha ha, Hark, I'm not really except with totally legless things (or things with more than 8 legs/limbs) I was a nightmare for my poor Mom growing up

I press the lens/lens cap right up against the glass and don't use a flash. I use this method for caged birds at wildlife parks, no wire visible in the shot if the wire is not too thick. EXIF for this image: Focal length 35mm. Exposure 1/250th at F4. ISO 1100. Lens is the Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 on a Nikon D7000 body.

It's just so clear. Are you very tall? I only ask because I'm not, so I usually have to contend with finger prints (and nose prints and who knows what else ....) when dealing with glass

I'm 5'10. 6'1 in heels :D I just shove the kiddies out of the way! ;) I was bending down to take this. I actually got a bunch of shots of different jellyfish. Some worked, many didn't. It's a damn sharp lens, so that helps.
