Re: James project 365

We were playing when ella jumped up as i turned. Long and sort of it one of her teeth ended up punching my forehead. So she was just wanting to lick it better. Unfortunately Its not advisable to let her lick an open wound. Hence the sad face and the but I want to look on her face. shes ok now as am I. Just going to have a cracking bruise tomorrow!

Ok so after a 211 mile drive From Teesside to Argyll, Scotland. We arrive to some amazing views. The dog, who traveled amazingly well and didn't bark once during the full journey, Made a bee-line to the loch. I got about 100 shots. This is just a small selection (Due to the slow connection) But I will keep you all up to date on our and the dogs shenanigans over then next few days.

VERY nice shots of Scotland. I have always wanted to visit there but I am afraid that your photography will be my only chance to experience such nice countryside. Keep the shots coming.

Today was dunoon. Again mostly wet. I did how ever get a few shots during the drops. Here's 2 of them. I didd do a 16 shot panorama but at 48meg its a tad large and with this connection would take then rest of the week to upload!

I'll try and shrink it when I get home. If I do then I'll post it!

At 48megs it never would have let you upload it.

Also, what/who/where is dunoon?

Nice shots James! I was in Scotland 20 years ago. As I was driving from Glasgow to Edinburgh, I would run into rain every time I stopped. I would drive ahead of it and the next time I stopped to take pictures the rain would catch up! There was no outrunning it.

Re: James project 365

Dunoon is in essence a small town on the opposite side of the Clyde. It use to house an american sub base in the 80's but that's long since gone. Its only about 30 minutes drive and a ferry ride outside Glasgow but to drive it on road its about 187 miles.I remember holidaying there when I was a young'n in the 80's. It rained for the full week. We didn't get to see much of it as my dad had a broken elbow and couldn't drive. So I decided to head back there to have a look about. Heres my quick summery. Its cold, wet and lacking almost anything of any interest. That said though, I have full filled an ambition to go back there and see the town I only drove through as a child. Now for my next ambition. Drive the full west coast of america from San Diego to Seattle. I know San Ysidro is technically the beginning of Americas west coast (well OK the border) but I'm sure They won't mind me missing them out. If I start planning it now. I should have all the bugs ironed out by the time I can afford it in about 10 years :)

I had the same problem ambient, I have a picture that needs a little editing as it was hard to take due to the blazing sun shine. Not 10 minutes later I was dashing for the car with my camera hidden under my rain coat as the heavens had opened and dumped its load on my general location!

Today is our last day, this means trying to spend as much time in the hot tub as humanly possible. So here's today's efforts.

One last quick one. Well 15 minute exposure isn't quick but you know what I mean. Star trails are visible which is what I wanted. Light pollution, clouds and in the end rain stopped all the fun. I did a 30 minute shot to but the clouds were to regular by the end to be of any use.
