There have been a few posts about 603's and 622s. For all the 622 fans, the controller is finally here!

And it comes with a shutter release cable, so it WILL act as a shutter release by another 622.

So, am I reading correctly that it will allow a flash to work as iTTL off camera?

That is correct. There are a few ways to get off camera flash in TTL to work. You can use the CLS system, and control the flashes from commander mode (on some). You can use the 622's to get TTL. This uses the 622's and gives you a good controller.

I think I read your question wrong. The TX is just a transmitter to control the 622n's hooked up to your flashes. The 622n's already do TTL, and you can control the flashes with one on your camera, but the TX gives you a LCD readout of all the settings, instead of hitting random sequences on the 622n's. Does that make sense?
