Recently purchased 5500 and trying to get familiar with it. I feel like I must be making some rookie error: when I go into Auto Sensitivity settings, and then Max Sensitivity, the ONLY option I am given is 25600. I would never want to shoot that high. Where am I going wrong?

I've heard of this happening once before, oddly on the exact same camera body. While I don't know what's causing it the solution was to do a two-button reset. To do that you press and hold the Menu button and the Information button for a few seconds. Once the reset is complete, you should be able to access the full functionality of the Auto-ISO menu. If not, I'm out of ideas.
