I had long given up thoughts of owning the 1 NIKKOR 32mm f/1.2 due to the cost: US$899. I had a search on eBay and stumbled on a short auction at a low price out of Quebec and. . . it arrived an hour ago. Not one to delay NAS-related satisfaction, I immediately mounted it on my V2 and took a couple images while delivering an executive presentation via WebEx. Both the WebEx and shooting with the lens went off without a hitch!
This lens is roughly equivalent to a 85mm FX lens and has Nano-coating. Think of it as the Nikon 1 version of the legendary full-frame 85mm/1.4 "cream machine".
Since I'm writing this during 30 minutes between customer calls, I downloaded the images into Lightroom and processed them quickly. My initial reaction was "hello bokeh"!! I think I'm going to love having this lens in my kit. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the background on the wind chime example.
