Great article. I read up on and studied early photography when I first got into photography many years ago. I have also though of getting porters and pack animals to carry my equipment now but will just have to settle on having my wife help me. :)

I have a Brownie sitting at home. I don't remember how I got it, cheap at a yard sale or something. I've never used it, but there's no reason it shouldn't work - the shutter works fine. The mirrors for viewfinding, however, are shot, so it'd be back to point-and-shoot-and-hope mode.

It was pretty cool to see how it worked. :)
