That's consistent about the VRI zoom lens when I had mine but I later upgraded it to the VRII. You can probably take it out during post processing.

Well, come sunset I'll go snap some jpegs off and see what's up. Kinda boring around here in the daytime. Else art show tomorrow eve that will once again serve as proving ground for new gear.

So, VR1, my custom settings jpeg outta camera, no noise/vignetting/etc reductions.
