Image Space problem...

Has anyone experienced the Nikon ImageSpace site acting strange? :confused:

I haven't been able to access the site to manage my pictures. When I log on, all I get is a black screen and nothing else. I can access my account through ViewNX 2 to upload pictures, but I can't manage them from the web. Everything ran fine until Friday night or Saturday morning.

I am running a MacBook Pro with OS 10.6.8. I've been unsuccessful using Firefox, Safari, Coogle Chrome, and Camino. If anyone knows what's going on, or better yet, how to fix it from my end please let me know. Its amazing how irritating it is to have something that out there that cannot be accessed. :rolleyes:

I have no answer, but for the longest time the black screen was all that I could get and I'm running Windows 7. However, several months ago it cleared up and all has been well since. I wish Nikon would have just left it all alone.

The only things I've heard about image space is that it's terribly slow, linking issues, the same blank page error you mentioned... So i don't think this is a one off situation..
Have you had any luck with it in the past? Anything positive about it?

I signed up after I got my camera almost a month ago. It seemed to work fine. If it was slow I didn't notice it but I don't have the world's fastest internet either. I have linked a couple of images without any problems too. The links still work despite the black screen of doom. I can access everything from ViewNX2, but that is just limited to upload and download.

I'll play around with the settings some more. Maybe I'll accidentally find the problem.

I have the same problem with my MacBook Pro but I'm running OS 10.8.4 with Safari and Firefox, but I don't have it with my other laptop running Ubuntu Linux 12.04. I think it may be a Javascript issue.

That's what I finally decided too. I've had several Javascript issues over the years that completely baffled me and this certainly fits the bill.

Nikon still employs flash on the site.. Quite unbelievable cos across the industry flash is being phased out.. And this site was rebuilt in January this year!
