Tomorrow I am off to see the anaesthetist for some surgery scheduled for Monday (5/26) and between now and then I have a lot to do.

Tomorrow and Saturdays photos I will be able to post on Saturday night but from Sunday until whenever I have no idea if I will have access to a computer.

My place of convalescence is a small place and there is no room for my iMac and I do not have a laptop - I am looking into hiring one. I need to remember to take my disks to load the photo programs such as Elements 11. Its at times like this that I wish I was more computer savvy with the technical side of things. For example can I load the programs to download the photos off camera (View NX) and Elements 11 on to an external hard drive and work off that on someone else's computer? I may have to accept that I will be downloading all the photos when I get back.

The surgeon has advised that the recovery period is 2 - 3 weeks so I will have to do as best I can. Hopefully I will be able to keep the 365 going and I will definitely be taking lots of pics.

Sporadic service from tonight until Sunday and after that there could be a long break!

I hope it all goes well for you Lawrence ;) You don't need View NX to download pics if you have a card reader available and use it like another drive. You just copy the pics across in windows explorer, or Adobe Bridge or whatever else you may have available.

You could also just wait till you are back with a computer. I'm sure it will be OK, especially as you have told us you won't be available to upload them. You could use a phone camera while in hospital and see what you can get. Certainly I wouldn't be taking my camera in. Too many things get "lost" :(

Take care and never mind you are able to post or not. Important thing is that you get well very soon and keep in mind that we're all with you. I think you can feel the wave of spirit from all of us that your recovery is fast as as lightbeam travels.
