iAn's iPad iDea

So, I was thinking about ideas for posting my pics and came up with this one as I wanted to do something a little different. What I'm going to do is post my random pics here, but they will be totally processed on my iPad using available apps, mainly Snapseed and Photomerge plus a few others I find useful along the way. I will provide my process for each pic. I can't promise a photo everyday as life sometimes just doesn't allow time. But I will try and do semi-regular updates

I know this wont appeal to everyone, especially Apple haters and that's fine, each to their own. I appreciate any comments or cc, good or bad, from anyone.

So, onto my 1st image.

"Dad"

This is my Dad putting on a "mean" face :)

Processed in Photomerge.
Converted to B&W
Increased exposure and contrast
Used heal and burn tools to fix a few bright spots as this quick photo was taken with the pop up flash on my D7000
Lightened shadows and darkened highlights slightly
Added a slightly warmer tone
Sharpened
Noise Reduction
Added thin grey frame

Thanks for looking.

Dad seems a little dark on my monitor.

Good luck with your project.

Thank-you. I just checked it on my PC to make sure my iPad is mot too far out brightness wise and it looks similar. It is actually supposed to be a darkish image. Maybe it's a bit too dark ;)

Viva Apple :) nice sots Ian I might have a look at those app's

Thanks mate. They are both definitely worth a look. Photomerge is probably the pick of them. It can do heaps. I just installed another called Laminar that look promising. Has layers!!

I'm not a serious birder, but when I saw this bloke overhead I couldn't resist.

Hello Ian,

Your pelican is cool. The flowers are a tad too soft, …the second one, though,
I've never seen before: down right "alien" to me!

Have a good day…
