I Was Accused of "Photoshopping" LOL.

I posted a picture of a Mallard mom chasing a Black-crowned Night Heron away from her ducklings on Facebook, and a lady posted that it had to be a fake because "Black-crowned Night Herons are only active at dusk or night." She said the grass and tree looked real, but the birds looked fake. At first I took serious offense, but then realized it was better to simply laugh it off. I thought about it, and I don't think I've ever photographed a BCNH at dusk, only in the morning, LOL.

If posting on Facebook, I would ensure you only make it visible to your own group of friends or it could end up anywhere and given the quality of your pictures, someone else could make money out of them!

I'm not sure I could make money off them. And I have the full resolution files and no watermark on them. Thanks for the compliment, though, assuming it was directed at me.

Not to say that isn't true, but FaceBook compresses and strips so much from any photo uploaded that it pretty much becomes useless from a professional printing perspective.

I haven't had anyone making money off of my pics, but I have had an instance of someone posting one of my pictures on Facebook and claiming it as hers. Silly move on her part since I had only posted the picture 2-3 weeks earlier and many people remembered it. She was drummed out of that Facebook group, as a result. LOL.

As Fred said, the resolution of Facebook pics is pretty low, so you certainly couldn't take the photo and make high quality prints or anything like that.

BTW, thanks for thinking that my pics are of high enough quality to actually make money from them. :)
