Nice!!! You're doing something that's been on my list for awhile now. I've two large boxes filled with prints and another large box filled with trays filled with slides that my parents took. Scanning the prints is just busy work but I'm not altogether sure how to deal with the slides. Any suggestions?
That looks like a nice device but $500 puts it in the ouch!! category. A bit steep for a once time usage. I wonder if you can rent one of these at a reasonable price?
how long did it take to scan all the slides? Did you just scan or process also? I have tried with a flat bed scanner and it just takes soooooooooooooooo long.

I've had an Epson photo scanner for 2-1/2 years which is seldom used but certainly worth it. It does a nice job on photos and slides although it won't scan anything that is really large. It's priced at $199.99.

So you can use a normal scanner for slides? I've an Epson EP3520 that I use for daily printing. Would this work for slides, too?

Oh...and there are different scanning settings depending upon whether photos or slides are being scanned. It also specifically scans film negatives.
