This is a nice shot that shows the lens at it's best.

Some people say the Nikon 70-300VR isn't sharp at 300mm.
I think it doesn't do too bad for itself, here is a shot I took yesterday. Handheld and zoomed right out at 300mm.
The second pic is a 100% crop of the first one.
I suppose it could be a bit sharper, what do you think ?

Yes , for the price I think it is a great lens.

Did you ever try your Kenko 1.4 on your 70-300 ?
