Well had chance to use it and i must say i like it and consider it good value for money,bought from an established dealer with a shop but via ebay,supposed to be refurbished but i think its a grey import with a dealer 12 month warranty.
Cost was £199 inc delivery,i did find it a bit cheaper but from outlets with no shop and very low feed back,thought it was not worth saving a few pounds.

yes,, I bought one on sale on Amazon,, new,, most likely Gray market, but no issues, nice solid lens, and been happy with the results,, its that super light weight, leave on belt pocket, have when needed travel lens. or whatever.

Not yet able to answer that except to say it looks to be holding its own and have the edge,to me its a different animal the sigma would just be too heavy for me to take on a full day sight seeing,the new one is so much lighter.
