I knew that I knew the guy from somewhere

Watching the V.P. debate the other night it finally dawned on me why VP Biden always looked so familiar to me.

He was big in TV commercials years ago. ;)

With the overly contentious state of this country, I think we should keep politics completely off this board. Besides, I'm sure at least 47% of the US population would automatically disagree with your post, along with another 15 or so percent.

Maybe we became so contentious because we lost our sense of humor.

No matter which side of the aisle someone maybe on, Ol' Joe was in the zone the other night. Can't wait to see what SNL does with it. :)

Yes, I agree. We do need to take this election with a grain of salt. It just seems like it's more contentious than any election I've ever seen. And yes, ol' Joe was ready to rock n' roll the other night. I think he would be much more effective if he didn't stammer with his words. And the one "stammer" where he almost called Ryan a liar was so obviously staged and rehearsed that it didn't come out naturally at all.

To be honest with you, I'm beginning to think there is no real choice despite the appearance of choice. As soon as Obama got into office he moved to the right and kept a great deal of Bush's policies in effect and you can see Romney now moving towards the left even before the election. I think on the surface there is a contrast between the two parties but if look below just the surface you'll see they're far more alike than disparate.

Putting the politics aside,,, ;)

What struck me was, have you ever seen a better example of someone who slammed a couple of energy drinks and then go into a caffeine powered downward spiral?
He was so animated during the first half of the debate and started to rapidly become more lethargic as the debate wore on. His battery icon was blinking red.

You know, I didn't see that at all. He seemed to me to be in attack mode the entire time and I didn't detect him backing off at all. While Ryan held his own, he was a bit thrown off by Biden constantly interrupting him and keeping him from finishing most of his sentences.

That's what I saw. NOT very Presidential for a man a heart beat away, was it?

I don't know, Biden seemed like a carbon copy of Romney from last week's debate. And to be honest, this is what Biden is all about. He's a very passionate believer in his causes and he's the same today as he was 20 yrs ago. Biden is one of those people that you either love or hate, very people have a neutral opinion of him.
