I just saw on the news tonight that there is a new non-invasive test that is almost as accurate as colonoscopy as to detecting the cancer but did not detect polyps near as well. However, if you have had no issues with polyps the test might be a good alternative.
There's a "pill" that takes dozens of photos per second that you swallow and it travels through your digestive tract. The pictures are picked up via WIFI. It will someday replace the colonoscopy, but the "pill" costs approximately $5000 and it can only be used once. I was in a related business and I have actually seen one a couple of years ago.

IT could probably be used several times BUT would you want to swallow something that had been through one person already? You could not get it clean enough.
