I guess so but i wish it would just atleast tell you the reserve so you know
Exactly. More people bidding increases the chance one will try to outbid the others and will usually generate a higher winning bid amountTo get more people involved in the bidding process.
I agree. If you're an educated bidder, you know what you'll pay for the item. Doesn't matter if you know the reserve or not. What difference would it make? If their reserve is $2000, and all you're willing to spend is $1999, you're not going to win the auction anyway.
What I don't understand is those selling and buying used items for more than they may be purchased for when new.

Once a bid is placed, Buy It Now goes away, in cases like that the seller may actually end up getting more than the BIN was when it was listed.ETA: Another is those who list something for $1 less than the BIN price. Like a lens.........starting bid: $299 / Buy It Now $300.
Agreed. I've been watching Pocketwizards for months now, scooping up deals from time to time. Too often I see Plus II units actually selling for $100 each PLUS shipping. Who is buying these when a PlusX is $99? I'll never understand the uninformed impulse buyerWhat I don't understand is those selling and buying used items for more than they may be purchased for when new.

And why are some really cheap items listed at a selling price of $999?? There is a reason, and I am not sure it is to trick people somehow.
