Thank you all for the wonderful recommendations! The 85mm F1.4 is in sight. What other lenses would you suggest? What about the 135mm F 2.0?

I also do portraits and events. And I would like prime lenses. What are your thoughts and suggestions on this? I am looking forward to shooting the 16-35mm F4. Do you think I made a good choice ?

Which flash should I buy? The SB 910? SB800?

what about all manual lenses?

Looking forward to your advice.

If you can afford the SB-910 then go for it.

What lodge are you from? I am a member of San Jacinto Masonic Lodge #106 A.F.& A.M. in Willis, Texas

Hawaiian Lodge F&AM. Welcome to the forum.

The Nikon 24-70-200mm f2.8 are my bread and butter. They handle just about every event photography that I do.

I have the Zeiss 135mm f2 which is ridiculously sharp for portraits.

Welcome, TXmason,

I picked up the D610 about a month ago, along with the 16-35mm, and a 50mm 1.4G. I've been loving both lens and camera. If you already have the 16-35mm, I don't really see a reason to purchase the 14-24mm unless you have lots of money to burn. That 2mm difference in focal range may not be worth the extra $1000 in price. If you get paid a lot doing real estate photography, then go for it. =)

Personally, I found out that I need a telephoto lens with a longer focal length, but maybe your situation may be different. My next lens may be the 70-200mm telephoto zoom.

Once again, congrats...and get out there and start shooting... =)
