Going on a swamp tour in Louisiana next week, where it's hot and most likely going to be very humid. Anyway to keep my lenses from fogging up beside spitting on them?:joyous:
Thanks QT. I would hit the like button, but I don't see one in your post. I saw one in Rocket Cowboys. Strange.Sudden change in temperature will definitely do this especially if you are coming from an air conditioned room. Some suggest putting your camera and lens in a plastic bag so that it will condensate the plastic bag instead. I personally have not tried that other than to just suck it up and let the camera and lens get acclimated with the outside room temperature.
Oh, I know all about the food. As soon as we get there I'm going to start off with some crawfish etouffee , followed by alligator tail, frog legs and top it off with some boudin balls.Make sure you take the time to eat good. If the in-laws ever moved away from NOLA, I'd keep going back just for the food.![]()
Never had turtle soup, I'm going to try this. Louisiana never ceases to amaze me with their food varieties. Two words... Turtle soup. Oh, and beignets. We stocked the freezer with crawfish meat from our last trip down back in June.![]()
Oooh oooh oooh I got it ,I got it, I got it! Just get a separate room for your camera gear without air conditioning, and that should may everyone happy! See this way your Nikon and lenses will have their own bed buddy! Lol![]()
While a gear room is certainly an excellent idea, most any house will have warm spots.
- a closet on an outside wall
- top shelf near an outside corner
- top of the refrigerator
Basically just want to keep the camera above the dew point of the outside air.
Lol I was just trying to be funny, teasing Blacktop. Lol![]()
