How bad is your NAS Addiction?

I especially want that new Tamron 16-300 F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD lens... I have read some good reviews and so far no bad ones... It would definitely be an upgrade from my 55-200mm kit lens.

I was looking at this lens earlier today. I'm hoping someone will come along and say something bad about it, so I can get it off my mind.:)

In the past six weeks I have purchased: D7100, 18-300mm f/3.5-5.6 G VR, 50mm f/1.8 D, 300mm f/4 AF-S, TC 14e teleconverter, and an Apple iMac to edit the results. I'm done for now. :cheerful:

BTW, I bought all of the camera stuff either used, refurbished or gray market. I actually wanted a new USA warranty AF-S 300 f/4, but they are not to be found anywhere, so I had to go gray market or used.

I still have a pair of D70s, an 18-55 and 70-300 from my "previous life."

When you say "for now" what does that mean? A couple days, weeks, months?

Well I'd like to say my own NAS addiction isn't too bad - at least I try to make sure that what I purchase in gear is going to get put to good, longterm use. I purchased two bodies because my youngest daughter does come out shooting with me on occasion, and it's also nice to have the 2nd as a backup - I also like being able to carry both and have the 70-200 mm mounted on one and either the 50 mm or 85 mm mounted on the other so I don't need to spend time changing lenses and possibly miss an opportune moment.

I'll be buying another lens here shortly, but it's the first one I've purchased in about 5-6 months. I'm picking up a Tamron 17-50mm F/2.8 to add to my bag.

Hello my name is Glenn. I am excited to let you all know that I have cured my NAS and I am actually recovering back on my investments.

Honestly, after recovering my D800e back, my desires to get another lens or camera have been well controlled. It is refreshing to be on the positive side.

That's easy for you to say, when you already own every Nikon camera and lens ever made in the known universe, and maybe even beyond.

I must admit that I am as far away from NAS as it's possivle to get. Maybe it's because I'm a canny Scot but I take great pride in being able to tell people I take my photos with an entry-level camera, a D3100. It would be nice to have some top-of-the-range gear but, at the end of the day, it's all down to the person behind the eyepiece and I still haven't felt frustrated by my camera's limitations. Until I am, I'll stick with what I've got. :D

We should have you captured and studied scientifimedically and see if there might be a cure; perhaps some sort of nanoscopic ionic particulates in your blood. If we can find the problem and prescribe the proper therapy, drugs, etc, perhaps we can save you.:D
