the building spoils it for me. Would like to see a shot with anchor and pot.
Wow, that reminds me! I do have a shot of that anchor someplace, but I don't remember seeing it with this one. I need to figure out what happened to that. I hope it didn't get deleted. That building there, and the wall, are part of a prison built in 1852 to lock up drunken sailers that didn't make it back to their ships in Lahaina Maui.

I am still experimenting with this program. So, I'm throwing out different styles.

^^ To give some perspective, when the US was hit by Sandy, we had our own bad weather..
This was called Nilam... though not as devastating as the one there, it did it's own damage.
Though the landfall was a full state away, more than 250 miles, it was quite bad here as well

Just started playing around with this technique. Using a software called Luminance...

This one was taken in Dublin at night.

This one is a merge of 3 different shots.

I then applied a filter in Picasa called "infared" and faded it a bit to bring down the color. Picasa has gotten pretty advanced for a free software. :)

Finally got around to trying something other than the 3 shot exposure bracket I get with my D7000. Here's a 15 shot exposure series (1 sec to 30 secs one step at a time) taken of the old Bethlehem Steel Stacks, which have been preserved and are lit for the season. Merged using HDR Efex Pro 2. A little miffed I didn't see the tissue at the base of the fence - though I have a feeling a passer-by may have dropped it just before I started.

Very interesting shot Backdoor! You might be able to clone out the tissue, I hate it when that happens!

Thanks. Yeah, I thought about that, and then wondered if it was better just to leave it in. I've got versions of each. Healing tool in PSE actually did a better job of removing it.

Leave it in. The tissue makes for a very interesting point. Hard steel. Hard concrete. Industrial mite. Did someone shed a tear for the environment? I'd leave it right where it's at.
