look below the section we've been talking about... Profile: "Managed by Printer" is the default... Do you have a "printer profile" selected there?

If I select "other" I get a fly-out of different profiles with different papers...

I do have a profile set there. I changed it to Pro Luster like you see in the screenshot. Does that mean the printer is no longer managing the colors? Why can they just have an option that says something like "lightroom manage colors" and then let me select paper type. Would be much simpler.

different papers was your original goal in this discussion..

No, my original topic was how to get the image on the screen to match what I print and you said the easiest way is to let lightroom manage the prints and I asked how to do this. I also asked how to select media type.

Have you calibrate your monitor? Or are you NOT going to calibrate it. If you calibrate it, they you can reasonable expect to print what you see on the monitor. If you don't, it's likely what you print isn't going to match... I'm sorry if I couldn't help you.

I haven't yet but I do plan on it. The calibration tools are just a little pricey and I haven't done enough research. I just got the monitor in the mail yesterday so I'm figuring all of this stuff out as I go. I appreciate all of the help and it's not your fault I don't have the proper drivers or canon doesn't supply the right one. I'll have to contact Adobe and see what they suggest as far as getting lightroom to communicate with the Canon printer.
