Hi there! My name is Brenda, and I'm new to this community of Nikon users. How's it going?!

For starters, I am an amateur photographer who has been snapping pics since January, when I got my first (and current) DSLR. It's nothing too fancy, and my lens isn't either. However, I've been convinced that photography is more about the photographer, and less about the accessories. Do you agree??

I joined this community to expand my repertoire and hopefully receive some critique on my photos. I have already uploaded a few images onto my profile if you care to check them out and COMMENT!! I'm very interested in hearing your opinion, and I would love to see your photos as well, if you would like to share them with me.

I love photography because I think it releases my creative side. I find it is one of the only arts that really appeals to me, because I feel it is difficult for me to communicate through music or the other visual arts; however, I do enjoy writing.

I'm also looking to meet some cool new people on here, so feel free to drop me a message or comment, whenever!

This concludes my very first post. I hope you didn't start to fall asleep at any point during this message. (I suck at conclusions, btw. Let's consider this little bit the end. Ciao!)

Howdy, Brenda! Sounds like you're about where I am, except you have a fancier camera and have had it longer. LOL! I love taking pictures of anything that will stay still long enough for me to snap, I just still have to get my comfort zone up to snap candids in public. Hope to see ya around.
