I finally made the jump from film last month when my wife got me a D5100 with an 18-55 mm and a 55-300 mm Nikor lenses, and an SB-400 flash. Couldn't be happier so far, and I'm looking at the 35mm Nikor AF lens for better existing light photos indoors. Here's a photo I made on a trip we made up north in the UP of Michigan at Pictured Rocks. I was amazed at the quality because the capture was made from a pitching boat in 6 to 8 foot swells on Lake Superior.
