Hi All,

I new to dslr cameras. My newborn had professional photos taken with a Nikon and the photos were amazing. It made me realize that I not only needto upgrade the point and shoot, but I needed to improve my photography skill. I want to capture beautiful photos of my baby. Not able to take a basic photo course due to work schedule and newborn demands. I am trying to learn as much as I can through Youtube, instructional DVD's, books, and practice.

I am currently shooting with D3200 with the stock 18-55 lens. I recently purchased a prime lens (35 mm lens). I heard that they are great for low light conditions and close ups. the auto mode is amazing. The amateur pics I have taken so far look way better than the ones taken with my former camera.

Welcome to the site, Will. If anything, you WILL learn how to be a better photographer. :) In the meantime, read the manual that came with your camera. If you have any questions after that, please...by all means...ask! We will do our best to answer. Now go out there and have fun with your camera! :)....and post a few so we can see how you're doing. :)
