Hi everybody!

A few months ago I took the plunge and purchased a D3100, previously having always had Fuji bridge cameras.

Unfortunately shortly after purchase I broke my foot and this meant that I have had very opportunity to get out and use the camera.

Still foot is is now fixed and I am determined to get to grips with the camera. My late father, a very keen photographer, always said that Nikon was the make to have.

i struggle with being creative with my photography and look forward to learning from you all here.

Welcome. I started my DSLR life with that camera, and only yesterday added an 18-55mm lens back to it to bring it back to life for my family (the original lens found its way onto a D40 for one of my children). It's a jolly good camera. Looking forward to interesting photographs of your toes!

Oh, and don't "struggle" with creativity - just snap what you want in the way you want to when you want to. The rest will follow if you are relaxed and at rest. In my opinion, trying too hard stifles creativity.
