Hi, just signed up today after recently finding this site. Good info here.

I just got back into photography as hobby after a few years away, and I recently upgraded from a D3200 to the D7100. Hopefully I can contribute because I will definitely learn a lot from this forum.......

I am leaving in two weeks to vacation in Normandy, the Loire Valley, and then back to Paris. I plan give the 7100 a workout on that trip.

Switzerland is on my bucket list. Gotta drive over the Furka Pass.

To everybody else, thanks for the welcome. I do a lot of travelling and I had many pictures, but lost my external hard drive about a year ago and with it all my old pix. I had some interesting stuff, such as pix I took out of a helicopter over the Atlas Mountains in north Africa that are now long gone....

I've been to Paris many times, but not to Normandy. I actually structured a lot of this trip with photography in mind. I will be staying in Honfleur which is very picturesque, and visiting Monet's house (with the garden and pond) so I will get some good pix there. I am also taking a balloon trip over the chateaus in the Loire Valley so that should be interesting.

500px has given me a lot of photography ideas about Paris. I have been there many times but this time I will put a lot of time and effort into photography while there, instead of just tooling around drinking wine.

My in-laws did the steam train ride over (and though) the Furka Pass last year. Some pics are in my gallery. It is very beautiful.

I spent one year in Houston as an exchange student as a junior at the high school. Many years ago but still lots of great memories.
