Hi everyone.

I am looking forwards to being part of this group.

My main hobby is Walking, However some of the wildlife and the views i see need to be recorded better than with a point and click camera.

I got the coolpix L810 bought for me at Christmas but am now looking to progress to something a bit more substantial in the near future any help would be appreciated. (I have been looking at the d3200 and the d7100.) However am i aiming to High?

Aiming too high? No. It depends on where you want to take your photography. If you are not very seriously thinking of getting into photography....but just want a quality dSLR camera look into the D5200.

If you even think you a going to become serious in this hobby go with the D7100. The D7100 gives you a body focus motor....and the controls are laid out on the camera and not in it.

Another option may be a micro 4/3.

And welcome to the forum!
