Haunted history tour

Went on a haunted history tour in Old Cahaba (Cahaba, also spelled Cahawba, was the first permanent state capital of Alabama from 1820 to 1825. It is now a ghost town and state historic site. The site is located in Dallas County, southwest of Selma.) Went were dropped off in a Cemetary first and the only lights were a few torches and luminarios along the path. Was so dark I could not see to focus the camera. These shots were taken in the night vision mode with the D5100 and a 40mm F2.8 lens. The script would not read the ISO correctly but all of these were shot at ISO102,400

Don just became the first person to ever use the night vision mode to actually take a picture.

For what it was they came out pretty well.

Nice camp fire to warm up after the wagon ride around the site.

it was so dark that it was impossible to see to focus and the auto focus would not work at all. I did not want to use the focus assist lamp since it would have blinded people and really ruined the mood. The night vision mode is not something that should be used very often at all and the photos look quite bad BUT for a haunted history tour it works.

Explain how you did the second one please.

It was a happy accident. I had to figure out how I did it myself. I bet you can too.
