Argh! You are taking the ideas away from my "Life in Scotland" thread! Roads, shops, buses! That's what I wanted to do! ;)

No worries, though. I will think of something better now. :D

On a serious note, I quite like these pictures. Some of them look so familiar, they could have been taken in Dundee. There is not so much difference between England and Scotland!

Actually, it might be nice to see more local threads like this, not only from the UK.

It was your thread that started me off so its your fault:D but it would be nice to see different towns and cities from around the world.

Its very rare i venture into it. I suppose you could watch The Full Monty, job done then really

Being from Grimsby and spending my miss spent youth at Cleethorpes i met a lot of girls from Sheffield, came over there quiet a lot,the first time the instructions i was given was look for the hole in the road,i was expecting road works not a joining point for pedestrian underpasses,on another occasion i rang and booked a hotel only to find it was a large house in its own parkland, had to park my hand painted ford prefect next to some very exotic cars, the joys of youth.

Ah, Cleethorpes (or Cleggy, as they call it around these parts), i was there myself last year, only for the airshow mind. Well, the Hole In The Road was finally filled in, in the early 90's and seems lamented by the local population who don't seem to recall it as the 60's architectural monstrosity that it was, but then again, i'm only an adopted Sheffielder.:D
