Hey guys. I'm new to the forum. Originally from Chattanooga. Went to college in Montreat, NC and have been into photography since the late '70s. First camera was the Nikon FE. Migrated through to medium format (Hasselblad, Mamiya, Rollei, and Bronica), then large format (Calumet) and then various 35mm formats (Nikon, Leica). I'm back to Nikon and I bought a Nikon Z5 (without doing research and discovered I should've purchased the Z5 II). Anyway, I just received my Nikon ZR the other day. Back in the day I did weddings (which I'm sure EVERYONE of us has done) and hated that. Also done some industrial photography. Hoping to do some Cinematography. Had an Arriflex 16S at one time and enjoyed shooting film. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say "Hi" to all my photo bros and sisters

Welcome. I live down the road a bit in the Charleston area. My wife's family came from a little town just outside of Chattanooga, Ooltewah. I look forward to seeing some of your work.

My grandmother grew up there. I used to go with her on summer visits when I was a kid. I remember staying at the old family farm she grew up in. The first few times I was there it didn't have indoor plumbing, . The kitchen had a hand pump and a wood burning stove. I loved it.
