This reminds me of the old Doublemint Gum slogan, " Double your pleasure and double your Fun". At this age they are just best buddies.

These were taken tonight at my grandson's LaCross game. I was setting about half way up the stadium and even at about the opposite 45 yard line from the net. This is with my D500 taken at 1.3 crop factor using my Nikon 70-200mm lens. These are straight out of the camera without any adjustments except resize so I could post them. I got to watch the game from up high and sit down while I was shooting it. I am very pleased with my images. I have never even seen a Lacross game even on TV before.

I thought I would share with you a photo of my first good camera that I purchased back in 1971. It is a Nikon F with an FTN light meter on top. This camera is now about 45 years old and still works and look as good as the day I bought it new from Wally Hill at Gulf Photo camera store on Howard Ave in Biloxi. One of the first jobs I had after graduating from high school was working as a photographer for Mr. Hill at the Gulf Hills Dude Ranch in Ocean Springs, Ms. I would take pictures during the day and develop and print them at night for sale the next day of guests riding the horses on the trail rides and doing other activities at the resort. The camera I used when shooting for him was a Mamyia C330 twin lens reflex camera.

Extraordinary find today at Gulf Island National Seashore Park in Ocean Springs, Ms.

A lot of you know that I almost daily visit the park to photograph Egrets, Pelicans, Turtles, Snakes and yes Alligators. No gators today but in my quest for trying to find something a little different I spotted something truly rare and I believe that out of over 7,000 members I am the only one that has managed to capture not only one, but two rare white crocks on the bank of Davis Bayou. While maintaining a safe distance and using a long lens I managed to capture the image below. I feel like this has really elevated my long quest to get something unusual and unique. LOL
The reason for this post is to get everyone to start using their imagination more and try something different. I myself will try and and be a little more imaginative in weeks to come.

Marilynne, I think I finally found something that you haven't photographed! LOL
