We have an event each year on the Mississippi Gulf Coast called "Cruisin the Coast". this is one of about seven thousand cars that will be shown this year all up and down the coast. I will be posting other pictures here on my thread.

Nice cars Jeff, you got some great shots posted on your web site... I am impressed with the composition... I have trouble as the cars seem to close and hard to get a "clean" shot of the car.. You have taken advantage of the surroundings..
Notice some you were "above the car.. what were you standing on????

Thanks for taking the time to look at my photos Pat and leaving a comment. As far as what I was standing on it was just me standing in the road or near the car for each shot. I wasn't elevated for any of the photos of the cars. I shot each of the pictures this year with my D600 using my Tamron 24-70mm F2.8 lens.
Ron, the slideshow is just a way of letting you go through all the pictures in a gallery without clicking on each one. I think it is just meant as another option or way to view a gallery and not really meant as a real slide show. Since I know nothing about cars I would have no way of grouping them. Thanks for taking a look and leaving a comment.
One of the hot rods from "Cruisin the Coast 2013". There were over 7,000 registered cars and an estimate of approximately 3,000 more that were here that were not registered. If you like older cars and trucks this is a great way to see them the first of October each year.

You are FAR too good at auto photography to know so little about them. If you ever want a hand in grouping your shots, just ask.
There are enough gear heads on here to make THAT a simple chore!

Thanks for your compliment on my auto picture taking abilities. I have taken pictures of Cruisin the Coast for the last three years and I found out the one thing that adds a lot to the car pictures is using a flash on every one of them even if it is in the middle of the day because there are just too many places, especially in the motor area that need some fill flash. Also it helps when many of them have chrome parts. These were taken with my D600 and Tamron 24-70mm F2.8 lens with my SB900 flash.
