I found a pond with a few gators in it today.

Caught this Osprey at lunch and convinced him to take a few seconds and pose for me.

Jeff .. Like the "attitude" and the shot is great! The Egrets I found were not that acclimated to folks... I love the position on the dock.

Pat, the Egret is out in the water a little bit and I am zoomed in on him with an additional crop.

Mine were in a refuge area and there closeness to the road appeared to be dictated by the water level from the tide.. There was no docks, rails etc so I caught them all in the water or in flight...

I shot this a few minutes ago with my D600, Nikon 70-200VR and Nikon 20E III 2X teleconverter. This was shot using a rail on a walkway as support and the subject was about 8ft away at the equivalent of 400mm.
