Hi Jeff,

The scene is too good to leave it like that!
Try this: cropping proportionally from the bottom-right!
The plastic is not needed and the reflection of the clouds would be your foreground!

Tell me how it "feels"…

As of yet I have not used flash on any of my wildlife pictures but plan to do so now that I have the Better Beamer extender. When I took this these two test shots I was standing in the same place as the Davis Bayou shot that I have posted earlier. I was zoomed in on the trees on the far right hand side of the shot to see what adding the flash with the extender would do. You can judge for yourself how much difference it made. I will tell you that it was at least 300ft from me to those trees and I took this at mid day. These shots were taken 15 seconds apart.

Thanks Jeff... was the 1st shot without flash or flash w/o extender?

They do make a model for the SB700...

The first shot was taken with the flash turned off. I took a shot and left the camera set up the same way except I turned on the Nikon SB 900 flash with the better beamer attached. If you look at the second picture you will notice that the beam of light is concentrated in a narrower beam so that it will go farther. If you use this on birds it will really make the colors pop and it is very useful if your subject is on a shaded tree branch. This is probably one of the cheapest and most effective accessories you may ever buy. As far as I know they make this for most flashes, you just have to order the proper one for your needs.

Thanks for the link Jeff... I found a site that has it for a dollar more but includes a spare lens.. (depends on shipping charge if its worth it)

I just take them, I don't explain them! This hurts just to look at it. I guess I should have known this but after doing a little research I see that the way their legs bend is forward instead of backward like humans do. It just looks kinda strange in this picture being it is at a right angle and forward.
