What type of CF Cards would you recommend? Or would you avoid? I heard some bad things about Kingston, but only positive reviews on Sandisk and Transcend. Any members have experiences for these cards? Or other recommendations?

SanDisk from a reputable dealer NOT ebay. I buy from B&H or go to your local good camera shop.
I'm wondering why anyone would recommend adapting a card to me that makes no sense at all. Are CF
cards so huge you can't carry a spare and use the card your camera was designed to use? Funny after I
close the card door all cards are the same, in the camera. I don't get the logic in that one.

I really agree with this. I remember a person at a football game a year or so ago asked me about their SD card because it wasn't working for them. The label said SanDisk but I was able to peel the label off and there was another label underneath, which wasn't SanDisk. They said that they had purchased the card off of the internet from some place in NY or NJ.

I guess someone made some money by basically "counterfeiting" those cards.

I bought a Transcend 32gb UDMA 400x compact flash card off an eBay dealer. He had sold nearly a 1000 of these cards without 1 negative feedback. Soon as I received it I thought it was legit as the packaging was exactly the same as a previous bricks and mortar shop I bought another from earlier. I immediately ran it through H2testw which confirmed it was legit as well as checking the serial on their website. With research, genuine cards can be bought on eBay but there are heaps of counterfeit cards on there as well. So do your research. Oh and by the way, Transcend cards works great in my D700 :)
