Google image search is getting good!

I did a search on an image I had posted here just to see if anyone had copied it and Google returned a pic almost identical to mine. I'm shocked!

Here is mine:

And here is the one I found:

from A Still and Quiet Conscience: Trips & Travels (Of Food and Dessert and Tours, Oh My!)

If any of you have been up the amalfi coast you know that this pic was taken from a moving bus (or car if you dared), so the fact that the angle and composition (apart from cropping) is the same is incredible!

That is amazing. I wonder how they can do that. But it shows that there are certain spots to take pictures that are more used then others. I'm never surprised when I'm visiting a tourist place to see all people taking the pictures from the same viewpoint.

Not surprised at all. If you google popular tourist attractions/places, you will see numerous pictures that are similar in regards to the location/view. I don't kid myself in thinking that the picture i take is absolutely unique. For sure someone has done it before. Found that out with my church interior photos.

I was going to say that I've seen many of my Yosemite photos in many places, but the fact that yours was taken on a moving bus and not at a frequented stopping point is rather interesting.

Yeah and I'm pretty sure this is one of the ones you have to look backwards to get.. and bus going in the same direction, sitting on the same side of bus with similar lens (was using 10-24mm).

Guess someone else out there, has similar composition skills to yours albeit they used something like cellphone to snap away.

I had a photography instructor back in the 70s who called those kinds of photos Dewey Fern photos. The ones that everyone shoots the same way.
Dewey ferns
Spider Webs
Water Falls

You get the idea. Nothing wrong with these shots and some of them are really nice. They trick is to do them in a unique way if you can.
