Thanks FKD, I am thinking of getting an AD200 kit that sells for around £359 here it comes with the flash / X1-Ts controller and other accessories so your images and feedback is very useful and I look forward to more images using the unit as you shoot and post them.

Now MY ear's have perked up... Could I use this this controller/trigger combination with my existing Yongnuo flashes?... There is a receiver that looks very similar to the X1 (called Godox X1N-R) that will allow you to shoot most Nikon flashes (and others I've found too). So if you have other speedlights you can put them to work too.

If it matters TTL compatibility is of no concern to me since I don't TTL with off-camera flash.
I'd like to switch over to an all-Godox OCF system, and if I could use some of my Yongnuo flashes while I make that transition, that would be awesome.
Thanks in advance!
That's awesome, thank you! The Yongnuo's I'm primarily concerned with would be the YN565EX and the YN568EX.I'm not sure as I have no Yongnuo flashes to test. Tell me what your flash model(s) is and I'll ask on the Godox User's FB page if any are shooting with that combo. It is a pretty active group, someone somewhere knows.
So far the R1 has triggered everything I've thrown at it.
I hear grandkids are awesome... All my OCF is for sitting portraits, however. I do use TTL from time to time, but not off-camera stuff. As for TTL - as long as the subject stays put M works great - but I've found that by putting two flashes shooting to the ceiling on TTL and shooting grandkids at play, I can pretty much light up any corner of the room they run to and get reasonably well exposed shots at faster shutter speed which is important with fast moving preschoolers, it has come in handy. But for more serious shots where the subject is posed - M gives you much more control.
I'm thinking they will too... I've done some poking around and that seems to be the case. I appreciate you posting the question for me!... Consensus is that they will work.

EDIT: Well, we're going to find out for sure later this week. I found someone on-campus who can loan me a Godox controller and trigger to test in conjunction with my Yongnuo flashes. Once I know something definite about compatibility, I'll post back and let you know what I found out.
Just wanted to follow up and let you know the Godox X1R Controller and Triggers are working with every flash I've thrown at them. This includes all three Yongnuo flashes I have (YN-468, YN-565 and YN-568) as well as both my Nikon units (SB-400 and SB-700). I'm actually finding the Yongnuo's easier to work with, generally speaking, than I am the SB-700 but it could be that I'm just rusty with the Nikon.Real world testing - the best way to know
BTW - just read an honest review of the Godox system : https://seanlara.com/Godox-Flash-Review
She did not like the TT line but the V line get good reviews. I've only used the V line so can't comment.

There's a mild learning curve to getting multiple flashes set up and adjusted "just so" using the X1R, but I expected that. And while I never thought I'd care about having a pass-through on the Controller now I'm starting to think it's a nice thing to have and see where I might use it from time to tome.
So there you go: the Godox X1R is working like a champ with my Yongnuo flashes.
